M.I.A's political lyricism and artwork, her music style said to be "Other", and infusing various genres is what you call the new generation of music. A graduate from the London's Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a degree in fine art, film and video earns her the title as a multi-talented artist. M.I.A's first start in music was with a Roland MC-505 sequencing drum machine. With just a second-hand 4-track tape machine , a 505, and a radio microphone, she was able to create six songs onto a demo tape.
